How should Romanian diacritics in data be handled correctly?

The main pitfall is two different Unicode characters for the "s with a tail": ș (U+0219, modern standard) and ş (U+015F, legacy). They look identical but are different. We normalise all data to Unicode NFC form.

Does scraping OLX Romania violate Terms of Service?

We only collect publicly available data, respect rate limits and robots.txt, and do not bypass authentication. For systematic access, we recommend using official APIs where they are available.
